Commercial Bank of Dubai Partners with Mastercard to Launch a Suite of New Debit Cards

Dubai, 19 February 2019: Commercial Bank of Dubai (CBD), one of the leading banks in the UAE, has collaborated with Mastercard, a leading technology company in the global payments industry, to launch a suite of new Debit Cards with innovative value-added services for its high-net-worth customers.

The new Debit Cards were launched in the presence of Dr. Bernd van Linder, Chief Executive Officer of Commercial Bank of Dubai and Khalid Elgibali, Division President, Middle East & North Africa of Mastercard, at a ceremony held recently at CBD’s headquarters in Deira, Dubai.

The launch of the new top-of-the-line cards, World Elite Mastercard debit card for CBD Private clients and the World Mastercard debit card for CBD Elite clients respectively, coincides with the introduction of CBD’s new segmentation strategy through which it aims to address more sharply the specific needs of its affluent clients.

The premier World Elite Mastercard and World Mastercard debit cards provide customers with access to a suite of best-in-class, global privileges across travel, lifestyle, hospitality, dining, entertainment and wellness. These include unlimited access to over 900 VIP lounges worldwide via LoungeKey, airport and lifestyle concierge services, premium memberships to the Global Hotel Alliance, Travel and Medical Insurance, fine dining offers, free valet parking, and a set of ‘Priceless’ experiences offered by Mastercard.
