Commercial Bank of Dubai Sponsors The CBD Run on The Palm

Commercial Bank of Dubai (CBD), one of the leading banks in the UAE, has renewed its agreement with RaceME for the second consecutive year, to be the Title sponsor of The CBD Run on The Palm. This sponsorship comes as part of CBD’s strategy to promote and reinforce a healthy and active lifestyle.

The agreement was signed by Dr. Bernd van Linder, Chief Executive Officer, Commercial Bank of Dubai and Christian Berglehner, Founding Partner and Co-Owner of RaceME.

Scheduled to be held on 22 November 2019, this edition’s CBD Run will be the first half marathon to be held on the world famous Palm Jumeirah and one of the first races in the upcoming running season. The scenic route will allow runners to enjoy some of Dubai’s iconic landmarks like Burj Al Arab, Jumeirah Beach Hotel and the Dubai Ferris Wheel, Ain Dubai.

We believe The Palm Jumeirah provides one of the world’s most iconic run routes, so we expect this event to fill up fast. With distances to suit everyone from 1k right up to 21.1k, registration is already open so we could encourage people to enter as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.”

The CBD Run on The Palm is a family fun run targeting all ages, with 3 categories for adults; 21.1k, 10k and 5k and 2 categories for kids; 3k and 1k. Last year’s CBD Run attracted more than 1,000 entries and this year’s race is expected to attract a much higher number with several corporate team entries as well.
