Commercial Bank of Dubai Sponsors the Palm Run 2019

Dubai, 3 April, 2018: Commercial Bank of Dubai (CBD) announced that they have signed an agreement with Tri Race Events Management to be the Title sponsor of the Palm Run 2019. This sponsorship comes as part of CBD’s strategy to promote and reinforce a healthy and active lifestyle.

The agreement was signed by Dr. Bernd van Linder, Chief Executive Officer, Commercial Bank of Dubai and Christian Berglehner, Tri Race Events Management.

Scheduled to be held on 18 January 2019, the run will take place on the iconic Palm Jumeirah, with the start and finish points outside the luxurious Atlantis The Palm Hotel.  The route will allow runners to enjoy some of Dubai’s iconic landmarks like Burj Al Arab, Jumeirah Beach Hotel and the upcoming Dubai Ferris Wheel.

The Palm Run is a family fun run targeting all ages, with 3 categories for adults; 10k, 5k and 3k and 2 categories for kids; 2k and 1k. To help participants prepare for the run, the Palm Run organizers also plan to provide structured training programs and weekly group training sessions which will be managed by elite athletes.

The 2018 Palm Run, attracted more than 1000 entries and is expected to attract a much higher number next year with several corporate team entries as well.
