Commercial Bank of Dubai Wins Four Awards at MEA Finance Awards 2021

Dubai, 15 November 2021: Commercial Bank of Dubai (‘CBD’), one of the leading banks in the UAE, has won four prestigious awards at the MEA Finance 2021 Awards. CBD’s “Direct From Customer” initiative, which enables instant digital account opening with just your Emirates ID, has won the “Best Digital Transformation Implementation” award. The recently launched “CBD Investr” app, which is the first app in the region to offer customers access to actively managed globally diversified and personalized portfolios, has been recognised as the “Best Robo Advisory Investment Solution” and CBD’s Commercial Banking Division won the “Best Commercial Bank” award. In addition, CBD’s Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Bernd van Linder, received the acclaimed “Banker of the Year” Award.  

The awards were received by CBD’s CEO Dr. Bernd van Linder along with the CBD senior management team at the MEA Finance Awards 2021 ceremony, held recently at the Ritz-Carlton JBR Hotel in Dubai.

Commenting on the sideline of the awards ceremony, Dr. Bernd van Linder, said: “I am immensely proud that CBD has won four awards at the MEA Finance Awards 2021 ceremony.
