Commercial Bank of Dubai Participates in Careers UAE 2019

Dubai, 19 March 2019: In line with the Bank's business strategy to support Emiratisation and contribute effectively to attracting UAE nationals to the banking sector, Commercial Bank of Dubai is participating in the Careers UAE Exhibition, held at the Dubai World Trade Center from March 19 to 21, 2019,

Dr. Bernd van Linder, Chief Executive Officer of Commercial Bank of Dubai, said: "As a leading bank that plays an important role in promoting economic development in the country, we are pleased to participate in this exhibition, which also reflects our commitment to Emiratisation. The Bank is executing an ambitious plan to attract, train and develop high quality UAE nationals who can in future occupy key positions in the Bank."

Dr. Bernd van Linder highlighted the Bank's initiatives to promote Emiratisation in the banking sector and specifically highlighted two key graduate programs. Firstly, the “Tumoo7” Program which is designed for fresh graduates and helps develop the potential and capabilities of UAE youth and prepare them for leadership positions within the Bank through a series of practical training courses and job rotations in various departments and branches of the Bank to ensure that they have the necessary skills and expertise to fulfil their desired career progression.

CBD also unveiled, during the exhibition, a first-of-its-kind leadership initiative, the “Next Generation Leadership Program”, which is designed specifically for high performing UAE national graduates with 8-10 years of working experience. This nine-month program includes targeted career planning and specialized training programs with themes around “leading business in the digital age”, “delivering service excellence” and “leading teams to achieve results”. In addition, participants will have the opportunity to travel to the UK for a field visit to other financial institutions.
