Commercial Bank of Dubai (CBD) launches the new management trainee program, “Tumoo7” during the participation as the financial sponsor of Career UAE 2017

As part of its efforts to support Nationalization and attract national graduates to join the banking sector, Commercial Bank of Dubai (CBD) has announced the launches of its new management trainee program, “Tumoo7” during the participation as the financial sponsor of Career UAE 2017, which will take place from April 9th - 11th 2017 at the Dubai World Trade Centre.

“Our participation in recruitment exhibitions is part of our commitment to directly communicate with national graduates in universities, colleges and institutes with majors in accounting, economics, human resources, business administration or science, who are interested in working in banking. Such events can help graduates understand the employment opportunities available to them as well as the advantages and benefits of joining CBD and our development programs,” said Gareth Powell, Chief Human Resources Officer at the bank.

“Nationalization is a key strategy for CBD and as a leading financial institution, we believe that it is important to attract, train and develop national citizens in line with our standing in the business community. CBD has achieved an advanced position in this arena and currently it achieves among the highest rates of nationalization in the UAE banking sector. This is as the result of a specific resourcing strategy adopted by the bank to promote its employer brand and contribute to the development of the next generation of well qualified talent in the banking sector who can occupy key leadership positions at CBD in the future,” he added.

Powell continued by saying, “At this event, we are launching our new management trainee program, “Tumoo7”, and I would like to take this opportunity to invite all fresh graduates to visit CBD’s pavilion in Careers UAE 2017 to learn more about this exciting career opportunity provided by the bank”.

In recognition of the outstanding role CBD has played in nationalization across the GCC, the Bank has been recognized by the GCC Council of Labor Ministers, and has previously won the Dubai Human Development Award and Human Resources Development in Banking Award.
