CBD expands UAE network with two new branches

Bank on lookout for new ways to deliver extraordinary banking experiences to clients

Dubai, September 2016: In line with its expansion plan to cover all strategic locations in the UAE, Commercial Bank of Dubai (CBD), a leading bank in the UAE, has announced two new branches - at the City Walk in Dubai, and at Al Wahda Mall in Abu Dhabi.

The new branches will open in the next month.

Murray Sims, CBD General Manager – Personal Banking Group said, “At CBD we are always looking for new ways to put our customer needs at the heart of everything we do. The new branches designed with our clients in mind, are a key element of CBD’s transformation program.”

“The opening of the new branches is yet another example of our commitment to providing our clients with innovative solutions that make their banking experience simpler, easier and more personalized while also ensuring that they are experiencing the highest standards of customer service. It emphasizes the Bank’s commitment to serving its clients with the most technologically advanced tools,” he pointed out.

Digital Platforms

One of the key features of the new branches is the user-friendly digital platforms and technologies that provide clients with the right tools to simplify their overall banking experience allowing them to interact with the bank in exciting new ways.

The new branches are equipped with tablets to showcase the bank products and services, and provide clients with access to the Bank’s website and are fully equipped with sophisticated equipment and latest technologies in banking services, such as Interactive Walls and table devices, Cheques and Cash Deposit Machine (CDM) and ATM machines.

“As part of our strategy review to increase the efficiency of business and to further improve the way we serve our clients, we have conducted extensive research to identify ways to better meet our client’s needs. As a result of this evaluation, CBD has recently reallocated selected branches to better locations while announcing extended operating hours. CBD is excited to make these changes to offer simpler, easier, personalized banking services” Sims added.

Most recently, CBD has made significant efforts to expand its banking services to meet growing customer needs by offering them the latest banking technologies.

Last year, CBD opened four new branches incorporating the latest technologies: Maessem City Center Branch, the Digital Kiosk at Mirdif City Center, Ras Al Khaimah Branch, and Village Mall branch in Abu Dhabi. CBD has also launched a wide range of innovative products like the new Mobile Application, the “CBD Active Saver” and the “Facebook Branch”.

The new openings will take CBD branches to 24 and the number of in-mall/Kiosk branches to 4 in the United Arab Emirates.
