Commercial Bank of Dubai Recognized for its Digital Banking Innovations at the Gulf Customer Experience Awards 2016

Commercial Bank of Dubai (CBD) has received two awards at the Gulf Customer Experience Awards for its industry leading innovation in the Digital Banking field. The Bank was awarded the “Best Integrated Approach/Best Use of Mobile” for its unique Active Saver Mobile App (www.cbd.ae/activesaver) and the “Best Use of SEO” for the Bank’s interactive website (www.cbd.ae).

 

The annual Customer Experience Awards are designed to recognize best practice in delivering outstanding customer and digital experience in the Gulf. The Awards aim to support organisations and businesses as a vehicle for sharing best practice and for promoting continuous improvement, learning and personal development.

In July 2015, the bank launched “CBD Active Saver”, an app that allows fitness-conscious customers to earn higher interest rate on their savings based on their levels of physical activity. Users can sync their CBD active saver account with a fitness tracker app such as Apple Health app, or devices such as Fitbit or Jawbone. Customers can then use the app to transfer money from their CBD account to their active saver account.

In line with providing customers with an easy to use web-based interface, CBD’s website incorporates innovative use of SEO to drive personalisation, content relevancy and ultimately, product applications via the website. CBD applied an algorithm that assesses user online behaviour and tailors the content of the websit­e in real-time for every single site visitor across mobile, tablet and desktop devices. This has resulted in increasing user engagement and sales conversion.

CBD’s latest recognitions add to the growing list of awards the Bank has received for its digital banking solutions including wins of ‘Best Kiosk Interface’, ‘Best New Online Service’ and ‘Best Online Banking Services’ from the Banker Middle East UAE Product Awards amongst many others.
