Dubai, April, 2009: The Bank was awarded the “Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Business Award” for the year 2008 initiated by Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry during a ceremony under the patronage of His Highness General Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai held at the Johara Ballroom at Madinat Jumeirah.

This award for business excellence was received by HE Saeed Mohammed Al Ghandi, Deputy Chairman of the Bank in the presence of Abdul Rahman Saif Al Ghurair, Chairman of Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Yaqoob Yousuf, Deputy Chief Executive of CBD expressed his gratitude and joy on achieving this honor for the 2nd time and thanked the government of the UAE for their support towards the financial sector. Mr. Yaqoob said: “This award emphasizes the Bank’s persistence with responsibility to support the economic development witnessed by the UAE. The Bank has always played a critical role in encouraging progress in the UAE through business excellence and effective social participation.”
